No, still got it wrong! You must use the 2 wires that I provided and add a further 2 making a total of 4, one for each coil.....simples!Andreas Norway wrote:Okay so if i got this right? i can not use the two wires that is already therer to trigger the wasted spark coil that i got from you martin?mefmotorsport wrote:Yes you can, you must use all outputs, you have to tick "use twin spark" and you have to say "no" to one coil per cylinder even though you do have.
I MUST use all 4 outputs?
But i dont have cam sensor??
Cam sensor not required, the software fires it as wasted spark, ie two fire at any one time.

yes, I think he made a slight mistake, O/P 4 to cyl 2Andreas Norway wrote:Thanks a lotRob Stevens wrote:He has 4 new amplified COP
Connect DTA O/P 1 to Cylinder 1
Connect DTA O/P 2 to Cylinder 3
Connect DTA O/P 3 to Cylinder 4
Connect DTA O/P 1 to Cylinder 2
Assuming a firing order of 1.3.4.2
Set to twin spark & amplified coils
I'd suggest not connecting 2 coils to one output, particularly as you have the right amount of outputs, if you only had an S40 you would have to try it I guess.
Okay but the last one O/P 1 to cylinder 2 ??
Sure you dont mean O/P 4 to cyl 2 ??
Or am i stupid now?

If your coils have internal amplifiers, then YES you can do that. It will be the same as the "twin spark" method except you dont need to alter your wiring loom.Andreas Norway wrote:Point taken stevie sorry about that.stevieturbo wrote:It would be a lot easier if you stated exactly what you want to do or use, then someone can advise.
As it keeps going back and forward getting mixed up with the various options and the language barrier confusing things slightly.
There are many ways you can run various setups, but until you can tell us exactly what you have, it's almost going around in circles.
I have a vauxhall wasted spark coil on right now but want to use one coil pr plug. COP
Im going to use vag coils and the question is, if i have to use all outputs on the s60 or can i use the two wires thats going to my vauxhall coil now and connect together the vag coils as 1&4 and 2&3 in to those two wires thats trigger the vauxhall coil??
Vag coil 1 & 4 into wire 1.. and vag coil 2 & 3 into wire 2
Both will be 2 coils firing together anyway.
If your coils are normal inductive coils, then no you cannot pair them up as you describe, although you could wire the coils pairs in series, but you would lose some energy from the spark.

You can connect two of the 4 wire VAG coils to the same output, as they are amplified.
You cannot connect two of the 3 wire VAT coils to the same output.
To test this now, just connect the coils in pairs, as long as they are 4 wire. You won't have to change anything in the map then either.

And so this makes it very easy to test with the individual coils as no wires to add.
It will be interesting to see if this cures the problem.

But i still have to tick on the amplified check mark?Alex DTA wrote:You can connect two of the 4 wire VAG coils to the same output, as they are amplified.
