Cold start for a PSA engine on throttle bodies

Post by welshpug »

Hi guys, got an S40 on a stroked and overbored XU10 block, its nearly a 2.2.

Having issues with the cold start, it hasn't been mapped yet but I do have a decent main fuel map from an older engine spec that had milder cams and only a 2.0.

The cold start seems particularly rich but I have no idea what values to try in it, it will be mapped in a few weeks but I do need to try and get an MOT on it and be able to get it on a trailer, with it fouling plugs and misfiring thats not easy!!

What values ? if its too rich, less fuel.

Dont overcomplicate it.

Just reduce the value in the Engine Start Fuelling map, not the main fuel map.
You can zero them out, and just keep the throttle open if you want to.
