Missfire under boost what leads are best?

Hello

Im running chevy ls2 truck coils d585 (ones with the heat sink on top)

Im about to replace them as they are 10 years old and i have a more often than an occasional missfire over 1.6bar boost
My ignition leads are magnecor but 1 is oe ford zetec (one broke when i was checking them)

My question is would dta s60 be ok if i ran copper core (low resistance leads) or should i get the carbon / glass fiber ones with the steel windings (higher resistance)?would the ecu get interference off the copper leads?

Im going to be making them from a kit they need to be 4 inch long each

Spark plugs are. Bkr8iex plugs gap set to 25 tho
coil on time 4000 (apparently they self ignite after 4500 so i leave them at 4000)
I used to be able to run 35 tho gap on a bcr8es plug at 2 bar boost with no issues

so deffo coil issue i think

Thanks

John

Those coils should be able to run that boost with total ease.

Are they copy coils, or definitely genuine OEM coils ?

Is all coil wiring good ?

HT leads might be an issue, but really, any decent quality will be fine. I'm just using cheap crap on my car with no issues at higher boost than that, although I had only used the 514's although now on IGN1A's

Allegedly the 585's are more powerful than the 514's, TBH I dont think there is much difference. 1.6bar is low boost as far as they are concerned.

As long as no wiring is near the HT leads interference shouldnt be a problem and you would, should be running resistor plugs anyway

IMO check and ensure all coil wiring is sound, both power grounds and ecu trigger and sensor ground.
And if you want to replace leads, any new/good quality will be perfectly fine. But if the coils are not genuine OEM, then I guess there could be an issue there.
But problems with OEM coils would be rare, they either work or do not.
