then you will probably want a lot bigger numbers for the first 10-20 turns

possibly...0=top dead, 1=(360/no of teeth on wheel incl missing)x1 degrees, 2=(360/no of teeth on wheel incl missing)x2 degrees etc etc

they're in the instruction manual

greetings, you still have problems with the start in the Canary temp, no less than 20 º, I try to open the engine throttle, a little only. observe the mixture during the heating phase, and discuss it.
to map, start initiation requires time,
of engine failures beginning of the post, has not said anything,

lambda tries to keep the rich values in the beginning.

Hi Jon, there isn't currently a Lambda on the car at the moment.

That should have been the first step, so you're not completely blind guessing. ;)

I know, the rest of the map is fine and was set at the rolling road, obviously on the day you pay for it to run right when warm and only have 1 stab at the cold start each day. Think the Mrs would like a Inovative LC1 for xmas? It is her car after all.

if its just the starting you're bothered about - a lambda won't be of any use. what's it like when it's started but still cold-ish - any good?

When it moves over to the warmed up map aboutt 50 degrees it's fine, in a morning the idle is very up and down and starts too smooth out when it hits about 30 degree,s I've changed te settings to the ones the rolling road bloke put in for start up ad it starts now just up and down idle for first 5 mins. This is the same settings as DTA have in the hand book, am I correct in thinking a large up and down in revs is lean running?

Does it have an idle valve? A hunting idle with a DTA running an idle valve is usually caused by wild PID numbers or the base PWMs are varying too much through the rows.
