Correct. Which is why he wants to fit a charge cooler, which will lower the inlet temps.

If the AIT is correctly set on his ECU, then he won't need to go for a rolling road session to cater for the lower temps.
If it isn't, then he will.

As it was previously mentioned, CH3OH (methanol) is probeably the most effective solution for intake air cooling with forced induction w/o IC, specially on short takeoffs. CNG-type injectors are "wellcome" for the spraying it. You should know the safety handling, and what's it corrosive with, when setting up an intake cooling system (too). If you swop to use it as fuel, welllll then forget basic mapping strategies (mainly insticts) you learned with gasoline - even with oxigenated race fuels. It's simply an other world. And as it was mentioned, after use you have to empty the system + WD40 does works cleaning-preparating the combustion area of the engine.
You can spare weight and space with a smartly built methanol system for IAT cooling, if I understood your basic quote on the subject...
