Re: Problems with RPM limit
Hello!!
Today I had some time.
I have done twice the scope trace, during the rev limiter and when starting.
And also I reset the diagnostics, unfortunately come all the faults within the rpm limit!
Even after I moved the sensor will he do it
For the wiring I use special shielded cable : http://www.bs-autotune.nl/shop/product_ ... cts_id/835
Maybe will a ford sensor work better such as the 6PU 009146-071
Regards,
Jan-Willem

Re: Problems with RPM limit
you need to make sure the pole of the sensor is smaller than the gaps between the teeth! hear is what motec have to say about trigger wheels, Bosch say much the same.
what diameter is your trigger wheel?

Re: Problems with RPM limit
The diameter is 15,3cm in diameter.
Teeth's are 4mm i think and gaps also.

Re: Problems with RPM limit
but what is the size of the pole on the end of the sensor? and what size is the gap?

Re: Problems with RPM limit
The pole is +- 2mm the gap distance is now 0.2mm, it's changed today.
Before was the gap distance +- 1mm.

Re: Problems with RPM limit
Scope trace looks good, although you are getting far too many rejected crank pulses, so there is a problem there somewhere.
That number should be zero.
That number should be zero.
Re: Problems with RPM limit
have you tried reversing the polarity of the crank sensor?

Re: Problems with RPM limit
The tacho output, is this connected to any coildriver?
I used this output for my tacho and shiftlight.
