My Tuners was asking and I've no idea

Post by proutyc »

Just had the car on the dyno and my tuner asked and I have no idea.

As my project is a turbo bike he likes the DTA setup for fuel but he was trying to find where he could do the ignition as load. Is it possible to have 2 different types on the S60

well i've not tried it! i think i may have found a possibility, but its a log way round.

so you want throttle vs. rpm for fuel?
and map vs. rpm for advance?

there is a setting for a compensation map, you can split that into 2 separate compensation maps for fuel and ignition and have them using map for one and throttle for the other.

use the main map for fuel as you would normally.
zero the whole main ignition map as its still vs. throttle.

in the compensation maps, you could possibly use the ignition rpm vs. map as the main map?
also having the fuel compensation map as either tps or map?

sounds possible, but i'm not sure i would!

What is he using ? TPS as main load with MAP compensation ?

I think what Drew suggests should work fine.

Set main ignition vs rpm/TPS table to zero ( or maybe 1 might be better ? )

Use the 20x14 MAP compensation table for ignition then as your main spark table.

or visa versa. Ensure in general engine settings advance compensations are set to degrees and not percentage.

Ensure you have selected to use the 20x14 table and not the single table.

And because both fuel and spark compensation tables are active, make sure you have sensible values in the fuel table too as it will no longer use the single row table.

Many thanks

Yes he likes TPS with MAP for fuel but prefers tuning ignition as MAP
