Is the micro USB converter an OTG cable? I don't know if it makes a difference, but I noticed bollah's is, and I remember mine is too

What USB cable are you using? FTDI or Prolific?

Is the cable plugged in to the ECU, and the ECU powered up?
No notification when I plug the cable in......just the message that I have plugged the usb cable in.

no idea what the micro USB adapter is, I dont know what an OTG is?

Again no idea what an FTDI or prolific cable is but the USB has always worked when plugged into my laptop. Its not a cheap ebay one either I bought it from RS Components.

cable is plugged into the ECU and fired up. I had to plug it into the laptop to do the header do da thing.

Based on that, the only thing it can be is the micro usb converter (despite what I said earlier).

I'm away at the moment, but will take a video when I'm back home on Monday showing what you should see when plugging in the cable to the phone.

I doubt they don't support it, more like a setting somewhere. I'll see if I can borrow one next week. I have a S3 Mmini in the office I can test too.

What version of Android are you on?

When you say speed doesn't work, do you mean the speed doesn't register?
I noticed today when I looked at mine that the calibration is missing. I'll fix that this week.
