Hey guys - got my cables and was playing around with it. Love it so far. Is the RPM bar gauge scaled to the red line at all? I haven't driven the car yet as it's snowing outside.

Thanks for the hard work on it - any timeline for updates?

Awesome to see, thanks Jon.

All rev counters are currently scaled to 8000rpm if I remember correctly. Future plans include allowing customisation of the values, and also have the gauges/display change colour when warning/danger thresholds reached.

Working hard in the background. I'm hoping to get an updated free version out before Christmas based on the new code base to deal with some crashes I've seen. Full version as soon as possible after that.

Nice sparrow yeah it'd be nice to scale the RPM and like you said change color for rev limiting.

Oh - also, Fahrenheit on the temps would be nice. I was sitting in my garage with a thermometer showing 50F and seeing "11" for oil and water temp. I was like hm that's interesting. Didn't think my sensors were calibrated wrong. Then I realized its in C.

You should be able to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit under ECU Settings.

Don't, it appears to not be working correctly. It refactors the gauges, but doesn't seem to convert the values correctly. Added to the to do list.

The device doesn't need to be the latest and greatest, but I suspect a cheap Chinese tablet may struggle.
I've used an HTC One M7 and LG G Pad, and they both have processing power to spare. They're quad core processors, so use that as a base. I suspect most dual core processors would be OK, but I've not tested one yet.
I'm also planning to mount my tablet in the dash permanently. :)

We support Prolific and FTDI chipsets. I'd never heard of Moxa before, so we don't support that one. They're also roughly 3 times the price of the other two, so I don't think too many people will be using them.

You should see something on the port, but that cable won't work with DTADroid, so I wouldn't spend too much time troubleshooting. If you want to keep it, check it works with DTASwin.

In other good news, I've made massive amounts of progress. I should be releasing a new free version in the next day or two, aiming to get the full version out as soon as possible after that. It may even be before Christmas at this rate.

I should have got that test bed much sooner.
