I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that will work.
I think it's used to power the external device, such as a mouse or external hard drive, when they are connected to the phone.

I have installed the app on my Phone and if i run it the GPS speedo doesn't show anything. is this normal? does it need a connection with the ECU to show the gps speed?

Sorry, completely missed this.

Yes, they should work. I'll put the acceleration gauges in the next release so you see them work just by moving the phone.

I've released an updated free version on the new code base, which also allows viewing of the sample logs.

I need to make some changes to the paid for version to ensure it can't be used unless it's been paid for. That will be done this week, then I'm on holiday for two weeks, so will release the paid for version in the new year.
