Mapping issues

Post by Lewispenney »

Took my car to be mapped on Saturday however there was an issue (With software?) meaning when the fuel mapping info was changed it didn't show the same information on real time data?
Has anybody had the same issue or any ideas on how to solve?

Cheers

real time data is simply a live display of data

Not sure what you mean ? And was whoever was trying to tune it, familiar with the software and have used it before ?

Yes they have done dta before but saying with the updated software, they change the fuel data but the real time data respond to any changes.

I don't understand what you are trying to say,
Do you mean that say you have 3.5 in a fuel cell you don't see the same figure in real time display?
1-This may be because of fuel corrections that are active
2-May be because of interpolation
3-May be because of injector dead time

real time display is simple live data display, it will always be changing. I've no idea what you're trying to explain either.

The real time functionality hasn't changed in years, so there's something else wrong.

I'm also not sure what you're trying to say.
Get the mapper to call me if you want.

Not to worry all sorted - turns out the old software and new software was installed together and made things run incorrectly.

I'm picking he's not using a knob box and realtime, and was forgetting to press F4 in fuel table.
