ECU Model: S40 Pro
Hi everybody. I recently bought a used s40pro for a BMW M42 turbo project. The ecu is 1.01 hardware and had the 60.00 software. I (stupidly) decided to update the firmware with the latest ,but the flash failed. When i try to reflash ,St10flasher keep throwing the message: incorrect checksum. Now i have no com with ecu(no fuel pump prime). Any suggestions ?
Thank you.

Could be the firmware file is corrupted.
Try downloading it again.

Hi Alex, and thank you for your interest. I downloaded it again , i tried v66 ,v62 but i get the same error. Maybe this 1.01 hardware can't take firmware greater than version 60?
I searched for v60 or v48 , but i can't find those.

I think I recall a while back some people had issues with a big FW change.. But if they did it in a couple of steps it was happier.

Best to call Alex and see what he can do, it may just be the process as sometimes it can be tricky, especially when USB-serial adaptors are involved.

I have firmware v44 for an S40.

However, that won't make any difference, there's something else going on.
You're welcome to send it here for us to update for you.
