Alternative DTA dash

Post by g60luke »

Hi,

Been researching a lower cost alternative to having a DTA style Dash.

Been designing my own version, and wondering how many people on here actually, would use a dash.

It displays the basics, and there are a few custom screens. It is still in development so any comments would be appreciated.

I am thinking that I may make it into a product, but am still unsure at the moment.

Screen is around 80x25mm, whole unit around 120x70mm.
Also includes a F1 style shift light [;)]

it looks superb for sure - but you have been beaten to it by someone else already.

how large is that and what price are you going to be selling yours for?

I'm interrested for sure... There was a similar unit that was offered on the old forum. I wasn't able to get my hands on one but if you do offer these at the price you've stated there may be hope for me yet :D
Keep us posted on your progress.

how many will you be doing?

(would like to see a pic in really really bright sunshine shining from behind you and the camera straight at the display)
(on a scale of 1 - 10, how waterproof do you envisage it being)

i'm just thinking ahead... ;)

Will do when I get the prototype together ;-)

Waterproof wise, the initial build will be splashproofish! but guess a watertight case could be engineered at a cost for kitcar/opentop applications if there was enough call?
