USB-serial log download problem
Is there any brand specific unit that works best.?
I can connect and tune the car but when downloading log files on megalogviewer data is not accurate. No lambda, no ignition TPS is incorrect.
On real time or using DTA log viewer I see all info correctly.
Car was tuned using an old laptop with serial cable (no usb adapter) and at that time logs on megalogviewer worked fine.
I have not that laptop (it was my tuner's).
Anyone had this same problem or can point me in the right direction

Re: USB-serial log download problem
use E-race for viewing logs.
If the data is correct there, then the issue is with MLV.
Or just view the raw log in Notepad or Excel to see what data is there.

Re: USB-serial log download problem
Just opened the log with notepad and the values are missing there.
Lambda is all 0 (zero)
So the problem is getting the data from the DTA to my laptop using a serial to USB

Re: USB-serial log download problem
Could it be that the com port 1 for the USB is set ay 9600 baud rate?
I read someone that was tring to get stream data from
the ECU got an answer form DTA saying that baud rate was 67000 or something very close, have to check it again.
Are there special settings I should put on com port 1?

Have you checked Lambda in the logging options?

Re: USB-serial log download problem
Yes, I even unchecked other things in order not to have too many, even tried just lambda checked and nothing.
I'm also having TPS value not showing correctly, never shows more than 20 or 30 % and have no advance value.
Funny thing is I can see all those values correctly on real time

The Real time display has nothing to do with datalogging.

Re: USB-serial log download problem
It would indicate the ECU is seeing the values correctly though.

Re: USB-serial log download problem
I have some new info, it seems I have the data on the log file. I opened It on the notepad and it has all the values. (initially I thought I hadn't but I got confused with the columns not being exactly under the lamda title)
I also opened the file on erace and could see lambda.(no wonder why people prefers MLV instead)
I also downloaded latest MLVHD but I could not finds there the DTA on it and also it also reads less types of log files.
On the original MLV my tuner installed on my netbook does have the DTA option inside, but is not reading the file correctly.
So the question is what to do now? How do I fix the MLV to display info correctly?
