I'm new to DTAswin and have an S40pro. The map has a PIN that I know but how do I disable the PIN? I've tried to unlock the ECU, type the PIN and then save back to the ECU but next time I connect I have to input the PIN again.
Just to be clear, I am not asking for a PIN number, I know the PIN. I just want to disable the PIN going forward.
Thanks,
Sean

Re: Disable a known PIN
Lock the ECU again with no pin number. That wipes the old one.
Re: Disable a known PIN
I'll try again but I'm pretty sure I had to enter a PIN to lock the ECU again. Unless I'm doing it in the wrong way
Re: Disable a known PIN
It's been a long time since I did it but I am sure you Unlock the ECU twice to remove the Pin No.
So unlock ecu then unlock again before doing anything else.
Tony.

Re: Disable a known PIN
The correct steps are:
1. Unlock the ECU using the pin number. This does not remove the pin number, it simply enables the software. The pin number is left intact in case the user forgets to lock it when shutting down.
2. Lock the ECU with no pin number. This removes the pin number from the ECU.
