OTG cabling

I'm setting up a new Lenovo 7" tablet in my Mini/VTEC to serve as a cheap alternative to the X-dash. I'm trying to avoid wiring in a charger for the tablet so I'm considering OTG as a possible route. Main question is - does the DTA's 15 pin serial port have a pin with sufficient power to charge a tablet, even a trickle? If so I'll play round with OTG cabling to see if I can make it happen. Which could be tricky as I'll need 15 to 9 pin, then 9 pin to Micro-USB, or to USB and then to Micro-USB, all RS232. And yes, the tablet is OTG ready.

No, the ECU cannot charge the tablet. You need a 5v supply from somewhere, and most tablets require 1.5Amps, not something the ECU 5v output can handle.

The other problem is most devices won't allow charging and data at the same time, hence the BT solution.
