It'll likely come close. You won't be doing single step crimp and you made need to go back and fix the barrel end some but it will get you close.

It looks the same as the red one posted earlier in the thread. I have one, it's nowhere near.
It's a normal flat winged type crimp. And even then it isnt great at that.

I actually bought one in the last post to replace them. But also to see if the jaws are comparable to the Knipex tool, and then the Knipex jaws for the AMP/Tyco crimps could be bought and used.

This photo is only for reference, and is the ebay linked crimper head for a normal flat winged style crimp. Ive deliberately left it large. This image is NOT a Tyco compatible head. Maybe some other jaws will fit into it, or maybe they're pretty universal ?

I have one. I told you where to get it earlier in the thread, and it works fine.
It isn't the exact correct die but it works perfect.

I'm talking exact and perfect - bam two step crimp in one shot without even flinching!

The things dreams are made of.

mine does both at once, but I start on larger portion of die then use the smallest one as I have foudn that the most reliable. It has a sliding locating tab that the terminal and wire sit against to make it prefect locating in the die every time.

I got mine from http://www.msel.co.nz
Wasn't cheap, but is the best tool I have seen and used so far. It's not on the site as far as I'm aware but if you email them I'm sure they can let you know a price.

just ask them for pricing on a Motec terminal crimping tool, can say Nigel from Ignition Autosport got one from them (and is the one they use there also).

That's the thing though. Finding the correct tool is not difficult. Finding it at a sensible price is.
