Bmw s54 wiring

Post by Emil »

Hello,

I want to ask of anyone has some information how you built your loom for a dta s80 on a bmw s54 m3 engine.

When you use wasted spark do you stil connect all 6 coils seperately?

Yes.
Then in the software switch off one coil per cylinder and switch on twin spark it will work ;)

And connect coils in firing order to outputs 1-6 as per wiring diagram.

Okey so just connect one coil on one position on the dta?
Just like the wiring diagram?

Correct. And enable "twin spark" in general engine settings, with zero offset.

it will fire DTA output 1+3 together, 2+4 together and 3+6 together, just the same as wasted spark.

Hello,

Is IT The Same with the injectors?
When you dont use sequentiel injection
Do you stil connect every singel injector to a singel connector on the s80?

So with a firing order 153624
Inj1 pos 9 s80
Inj2 pos 16 s80
Inj3 pos 33 s80
Inj4 pos 15 s80
Inj5 pos 17 s80
Inj6 pos 25 s80

yes, but just make sure you get the firing order right in case you wish to move to sequential in the future, otherwise it doesn't matter.

Hello
We have S60 PRO ECU with custom wiring loom for BMW S54.
We need wasted cop firing order can you guide us for coil wiring connection.
usually 6cyl. engine with wasted cop ignition used the below connection in any ecu.

1&6 to coil 1
2&5 to coil 2
3&4 to coil 3

Is the above information is true?
thank you
