Wiring to switch Map from Dash

Post by bp2000 »

How do you setup/wire S60 to switch fuel and ign' map from a switch on the dash. Which pin, of which connector, is it pulled down to earth, etc, etc.

Thanks

Thanks was not very clear from drawing. Description on Pin 15 reads ALS/Map 2 and Lambda Switch. Now that I know this is the pin this makes sense, not having a turbo charged car I had dismissed this as an anti-lag setting.
Must read the whole user manual again.

To be fair, the grouping of functions for a single pin can be annoying and the ALS/MAP2 should be a thing of the past and have ALS completely divorced from any maps.

Closed loop can still be active on MAP2 ( S-series anyway and pretty sure older ecu's )

But, you must have CL active all the time, ie the box checked.

The switch only does the MAP1/MAP2 function.

The fuel correction map will still be generated, however if you try and apply these corrections, they will be made to MAP1

Likewise with lambda logging on the PC....it will record the info, but only let you apply any changes to MAP1

Another issue that really needs changed

Ok Steve, I meant to say that you can't use the Lambda switch on Map 2. Sorry.

No idea how that is relevant ?

E48 has only one map option does it not ?

Or what is the actual question ( and a new thread would be appropriate, as this one has nothing to do with a POT Box )
