Pot Box issues

Post by mitsakos »

Hello everybody,

I have got an issue with with a pot box I made following the instructions as described here:
http://www.quantums.info/dtalead.htm

The thing is that by checking the output only the potentiometer (ignition) is working (as i can see on the real time values on the pc). I should note that i have checked the pins and mine is not ignition only.

I used it on a friend's E48 and it is working correctly!

I opened the ecu's to see inside and the boards have got the same numbers.
I saw two differences though. I am attaching pictures of the boards so that you can see them yourself. Two capacitors are added and one other part (i think that is a capacitor too) is different. On mine it has written on it "2261 6V" while the one on the other ecu says "22-16 S6". I can't find any data on these though...

I have circled them so you can see them easier. The picture "my ecu" is mine and the others are from my friend's ecu.

Does anyone know if these alterations on the board may be the reason that my friend's ecu is working the the pot box and mine is not?

Thank you in advance for your help and I hope it is not too much trouble.

I am kindly waiting for your reply.

The problem was in the parameters (closed loop lamda control was ON).
Set it to OFF and everything works fine.

Sorry for the trouble I may caused.

Kind Regards
