As for Rovers... well, let's just say I had my fun. Owned a '00 or '01 LR Discovery II with 4.0L Rover V8. Ran well for a while - hit 145 - 150k miles and just like everyone told me, started having issues. Blew the HG between valley pan, replaced all that, slapped it together, wouldn't stop overheating... dropped a liner. It was a good ~3 years.

my soon to be wife has a diesel D2 which i might have ripped the rear bumper off of trying to follow a D1 with a 3 inch lift.
then i tore off the exhaust......
