i have a good map. she is for 90% perfect. I made this map on the street, not on a dyno.
i'm testing with DTA S40 on a homemade turbo honda b16a2 engine. (stock)
i'm very happy with the result, the map made by myself, is for 8psi boost. (0.55bar) The car drives good ! But, it can always be better. Idle speed is going up and down a little bit and cold starting could be better.
anyone who want this map, can send me an email:
turbo6@hotmail.com
i'm looking for DTA-experts who can analyse these map, and give info to me for making adjustments to make the map better. Send me your turbo map to me, so i can analyse, for me this is a learning school.
i like DTA, it's the best engine-manegment on the market !

Re: turbo map honda b16a2 8psi boost
it needs to be on the engine running for fine tuning.

If it's 90% there then it needs tweaking on the running engine, yep.

If you want to upload the map here. I will have a look at it and see if I can see any obvious mistakes etc. But I can't fine tune it to your car.

Re: turbo map honda b16a2 8psi boost
Fuel Map is a mess.
Not sure I'd want 30 deg ignition at even 8 psi, i.e. you have no correction for boost.
Your lambda target is a bit rich at 0.8
Your lambda controls allow for +100% and -50% this is mad on an in mapped engine.
I'm not sure why you would want +40 deg of ignition at 0deg C
40dec C is a little cold to turn closed loop fuelling on.
Not sure why you don't want to use 'set to standard' for air temp corrections.
You are not using the nice random cut patterns for rpm limits, they work very nice.
You are using bonkers RPM set points like 1921 & 2395 rpm why not 2000 and 2500 it makes it easier to think about and set on the dyno. There is nothing wrong but it's very unconventional.
You are not using the turbo control function and have the boost cut off set at 2Bar, bring this down for safety please.
Vtec on at 6184 rpm, isn't that a bit high? And this will not turn on sharply set like this but will start pulsing the vtec device at 5711 is that ok? And I think you should be using AUX 3 for vtec not Aux 1
Is that enough feedback

Re: turbo map honda b16a2 8psi boost
thanks for your quick respons ! i hope my englisch is understandable..
give me a week to study your answer, i am a newcomer in the dta-science.
a lot of parameters did i -search together- from other maps i found on the internet, so of course there are faults in my map.
yet, the car drives fine, and i'm absolute sure that i'm not running lean fuel mixture. i have a good innovate readout (digital innovate wide band lc2)
Next days, i do some tests with the remarks you gave to me.
to be continued ! jack70

Re: turbo map honda b16a2 8psi boost
I do confess I can't see how the vtec is controlled, I can't even see how it is turned on in the sample Honda maps ! I've never used it myself.

Re: turbo map honda b16a2 8psi boost
Vtec on older stuff like that is simply off/on.
Could easily turn it on around 5k or so. Although pretty sure this requires 12v to activate, so a relay may need added if this is an OEM loom etc
At least when I did a Link G3 on a B16A2 I had to do that

Re: turbo map honda b16a2 8psi boost
what the heck is going on with the fueling map?
And no turbo control?
dude, its not 90% there, its not even 10% there
Do you have a wideband? as I dont think its working?
