Hi Rob , yes it can be used for that the starting table. But what if the engine is run to heat up and then left idle and it cools down to say 50 deg, the starting map will not be used until another startup.

If you mean left running and it goes down to 50 deg, that means your thermostat isn't working ! :) and your fan is stuck on. I doubt you would need any running corrections at 50 deg anyway. my engines switch to closed loop at 55 deg any way and are fine.

Hi again,

So coolant compensation is not needed above say 50 deg?
Sorry for asking this , I never studied engines, i know electronics but not engines.

And again, it depends on your setup. But generally speaking most engines would use little to no coolant temperature related compensations above that temperature. But it is impossible to say that every engine will be happy that way.

You need to do what makes your engine happy, not anyone elses.
