Hi there,
I have an strange issue with my datalog output having recently installed a paddleshift system, and testing it yesterday
When I shift up, the log records the down paddle being pressed, along with the down blipper, down valve and anti-push being triggered. When I shift down, the reverse happens, the log records a shift cut being activated and the up valve being opened. The neutral button works fine. All other outputs from the log that I am following (RPM, throttle, gear), are working as expected.
On the paddle shift screen in DTASWin, my intended up, down and neutral switches are triggering as intended, and the blipper is being activated on downshifts.
Any idea why this might be the case? I would like to optimise the system with data from a rolling road/hillclimb in the future, also it may have been my test conditions yesterday which weren't entirely representative of normal use (too small), but I was not entirely sure the shift cut was behaving - again, the log is not helping with this uncertainty!
Any suggestions as to why this be would be appreciated. Thank you.
Only ideas I have but most seem unlikely:
Out of date firmware - If this was a patched in issue recently (within the last few years), I will need to check my firmware version
Using the gear pot in 'reverse voltage mode'
Choice of pins - I'm not using the default (option 0) pins
Possible Data Logging Feature for Paddle System (Hopefully)

Hi Adam
Best to email the log to us, using office@dtafast.co.uk.
What data log viewer are you using? Most of them require the data to be loaded in reverse, so make sure you ticked that option.

Thanks for the quick reply Alex.
I used excel to load the .dat file in... which I didn't even think about.
The session timer ends at 0.0 and goes upwards. So it just has to be reversed.. probably what a propper logging software would have done for me! I've verified it by looking at the log alongside the video I have.
Hence a careful choice of word: 'feature' and not 'issue'(!)
Looking forward to making use of the data logging functionality and paddleshift software this season.
All the best,
Adam
