Yes I know interference, but would like to know what specifically. It sounded like it might be ignition. If he has scoped it, it should be pretty clear if that was indeed what it was.
If all 8 teeth it was seeing was all interference, or was some something else etc.
It would be nice to know for sure what it was.

I scoped the cam and crank signal at the same time.
But there was not a repeating error/ interference (like a clear pattern).
So I can not say it was this or that certainly.
Only the fact that it took place and is now fixed.

My money will be on the coils, they are the noisiest item on an engine.
OEM ECUs are designed to support a single ECU.
To reduce costs, they use unshielded wire, and use code to filter out noises.
As we support many different engines, we obviously can't do that.
