Can anyone please advise what might cause a high number of shift cut timeouts with an S100 on a 1000cc bike engine?
Upshifts from 4 to 5 and 5 to 6 are not always successful. It seems worse in the wet when I am not using full throttle.
Any ideas as to what can be adjusted to try to rectify?
Thanks
John

Re: S100 shift cut timeouts
John,
Can you post up a screen shot of your shift cut settings? Are you running closed-loop?
It's perhaps not enough timing retard.
Ideally you need to do some high-speed logging of the relevant functions to see what's going on, but upshifts should be the easy ones to set up - so long as the gearbox gets enough torque-reduction for the dogs to unlock and allow the barrel to move.

Re: S100 shift cut timeouts
Hi Steve.
Sorry for thecdelayedcresponse. Yes it's closed loop. I have been using the gear dependant time table which I now think is a mistake and havecdeselected it. Will see if there is an improvement next time out.
Thanks
