RPM calculated gear to XDASH

Post by Capos »

I've tried all combinations but can't display the rpm calculated gear in the display.
What data source should i use in the xdash? Tried both barrel and gear as data source.
I'm out of ideas so I need help from you guys!

S80 ecu, Xdash, can connection between them
Wheel speed from right front ABS ring. VR-signal converted to hall via separate adapter (speedometer in dash works flawless)

Whatever I do, it just displays "N" in the dash, no matter speed and gear.

Do your ECU logs have the correct gear calculated?

Good question!

Can I just find that parameter in the log, or do I need to enable logging it anywhere?

The dash just reads the value from the ECU, so get the values in the ECU working, and the dash will just work.
The dash value is Gear.

In the first image, the values Engine RPM and Shaft RPM must show data for this function to work.
The easiest way to get this set up is to put the car on axle stands. Then put it in to each gear, and simply read the Current Ratio off, and fill it in for each gear.

Thanks for the info Alex!

Just back from a test ride.
Engine RPM and Shaft RPM both shows 0 during speed.
Where should I start looking?

I think you need to tick 'use left driven wheel speed' and copy the physical undriven input to pin 31 or I think thats how I made it work

You need two speed sensors as a minimum.
One goes to the left undriven wheel speed, and is used to calculate the vehicle speed.
The second must go to either the Left Driven Speed input, or to the Shaft Speed input (pin 14).
