dta s80 after car fire

hello i have a s80 ecu for check up
can make communication but whit no sensors or injectors and coils
the ecu asks 2,2 amps ias this normal for a s80
a car ecu only take 0,3 amps

Sounds like a lot for an ecu that is not actually doing anything.

Is that ecu only, or is this installed in a car with other devices connected ?

If you have ecu comms, again, is this bench testing with no wiring attached ? or with a full loom and sensors etc ?

it sounds like a lot of current in that state.

Can you hook up a test sensor to each input to test ? a variable 0-5v pot would work.

And likewise some sort of tester, led, noid light etc to the outputs to run a test ?

And can you test to see if the 5v supply is ok ? Does the fuel pump output get triggered when you power on ? Does ecu comms look ok when testing ?

If you have amplified coils turned on, then the current draw is reasonable.
If not, then it's damaged.
