Cosworth YB crank and ref triggers

Post by b930 »

hi
I wanted to use a second S80 on my mk1 escort with cosworth YB motor. The YB has 4 lugs on the crank with a VR sensor and two sync triggers (I think) in the distributor. anyone know if this will work as is with the S80 pro?
S80, Porsche 1988 930 flat six aircooled, GT35 w/ twin scroll 1.03A/R dual gated equal length headers, SC cams, Turbokraft intercooler, 72# injectors.

DTA requires minimum of 12 teeth on the crank, so no not with that trigger.

I would look at using a 36-1 on the crank, you can set masking to select which of the cam(dist) triggers are used.

The later EEC equipped Cosworths, small turbo had a 36-1 wheel if you can find one of them. Otherwise just fit a new trigger wheel to the front.
