no spark and feul p8pro..

So today i tried to fire her up.

Did all the checks.

Coils and injectors fire if i test them in the software.
All the sensor read ok.

Got the trigger wheel in yesterday.
Set it up today as folow:
Cil 1 to tdc( ish)
Put a degree disk on with "0" on the sensor.
Read the first faling tooth. "100" .

Put the 100 in the ecu.
Disconnect the coil and injectors.

When i turn the key i get a nice 350 rpm from the sensor.
Connect the spark and feul..

Turn the key...
But no spark or feul( plugs dry and with a plug on the block no spark)

What can i check tomorrow?

Almost regardless of where the missing tooth is and the setting for this, once rpm is seen at the ecu you should get some sort of sparks and fuel triggers.

Post a picture of the crank wheel noting TDC, and also showing missing tooth and sensor position.

Sensor position needs to be accurate so those sparks are fired at the correct time.

Check you are getting 12v to injectors and coils during cranking.

I had plan'd to set the timing perfect with a light when is was running.
For now i don't im 10 degrees off... To mutch for mapping..
But she should make some noise whit that

It could be a mapping thing aswel
The rpm tabel was not setup for this engine.
The first row was @ 500rpm
So with my 350 cranking she did not get on the de map.

I put in 0 rpm in the first row and 500 in the 2e

But stil noting

I'm getting 10.5 v volt on cracking.

And a nice rpm signal.
in the dyno mode i see she fire's @ 6 degrees and with 5% feul..

but stil no spark

So you have 10.5v confirmed at the coils when cranking ?

Really, if the coils fire on coil test, and you're getting an rpm signal, you should be getting sparks of some sort during cranking

Yes it was 10.5 v @ the coil..

But she runs!! Soort of.

I needed to tick the external ampefire box.

Only on 3 cilinders.. But that easy to find to night

Pretty sure if you use the external coil amps feature with the P8, you need a pullup resistor too.

Configuring the ignition system wrong in this manner can lead to ecu or coil damage, so make sure you know how the coils need to be triggered.

Hi all!

First of all sorry for my english im using just translator and small knowledge of english from school

i have similar problem on my S40
im using external amp coils
it is seted in gerenral engine settings and output test mode working perfectli...
but
while im cranking i have no spark (injectors still working)
i thought there is a problem with main power for external coil amp and i rewirink suply stright from battery but still nothink
when im cranking without spark plugs and i checking spark on coil while cranking nothing but after im release ingition key and have one or two sparks...
just while im cranking i have no spark...
crank rpm 250
crank voltage 10,2


what a hell is wrong?
