Hall or Magnet for traction control

Hello all
I am after some information on using the traction control function on the S100 ECU.
I am putting a V8 into a MX5, the MX5 has ABS on all four wheel using magnet sensors.
I would like to use the traction control function on the S100 ECU. Do I have to install four hall affect sensors with sensor rings or can I tee off the ABS magnet sensors and feed the signal into the ECU.
I do understand that a magnet sensor out puts a positive sign wave and that a Hall effect sensor outputs a square wave sign. But does the ECU require the square wave or will it work on of sign wave?
Cheers
Mark
