Hi,
I have a couple of these sensors for fluid temp: https://www.efi-parts.co.uk/index.php?productID=125
I also have one of these for air temp: https://www.efi-parts.co.uk/index.php?productID=181
I think I understand the calculation to get valid data for my ECU Vout=(R1/R1+R2)*Vin
R1 = Sensor Resistance
R2 = 1000
Vin = 5
I then multiply that number by 1000 to get mv.
But the thing I'm struggling with is temperatures greater and less than those listed in the tables. Is there a further calculation I need for this, or something else I need to do?
Many Thanks
Tim

Re: Scaling help
With water temp I undertake a practical test by using iced water through to boiling, do a rough graph and estimate the below freezing and above boiling points based on extending the graph
Re: Scaling help
Thanks. I figured it would come down to taking my own measurements, I'll have a look at thermocouples today and get setup to do this one evening.
I've also emailed Chris to see if he can shed any light, but again qualified the email by suggesting that I'm happy to take readings myself.
