Re: Fuel supply (not starting)
Are you using the stock vaux trigger? Think this will be a 60-2, not a 36-1 trigger pattern
Re: Fuel supply (not starting)
Sorry I had to walk away from trying to get the engine running as it was frustrating me, so this is where I am.
I'm 100 percent sure the only problem I have now is ignition timing now, I have the fuel pressure sorted ( new fuel pump and FPR) when cranking I'm getting blow back through the throttle bodies, so I think I just need to get the ignition timing sorted and it should start,
I also had a problem with the throttle stops, so it was massively over fueling before, but that's also sorted now.
Can someone help give me a walk through on how to get cylinder 1 at top dead center and then set the crank position from 1-360
Cheers Nick

Re: Fuel supply (not starting)
No I'm not using the standard trigger wheel, it's definitely 36/1molecular bob wrote:Are you using the stock vaux trigger? Think this will be a 60-2, not a 36-1 trigger pattern
Re: Fuel supply (not starting)
Ok so engine is at tdc on the compression stroke, I'm 99 percent sure I've got this right. This is how the crank sensor looks.
Re: Fuel supply (not starting)
Use the crank oscilloscope - it will give an indication of approx angle - if its spitting back or banging in the exhaust its usually 180 deg out!
Re: Fuel supply (not starting)
I'll have a look in the crank oliscope when I get home.

Re: Fuel supply (not starting)
That looks about 80 deg BTDC, you can check with a timing light at cranking speed. but don't forget to account for the firing tooth in GE settings, not the main ignition table
Re: Fuel supply (not starting)
I've not had a chance to get into the garage today to have a play, what should the firing tooth be in general engine settings?
