Hi everyone.
i have S60pro on my clio. planing to go bigger turbo now.
wondering if S60 can control wastegate directly and all i need is Turbo Wastegate control valve?
also, what size would people recommend for 2000cc engine with around 350bhp?
44mm?

ps. thumbs up to DTA for their ECU and NT-Dash
works really well :)

thank you!

Yes, the ECU can control them directly. We recommend and sell the MAC valves, but Chris can also supply them.

You won't need 44mm for that power level, 38mm will be plenty.

What power level is normally the change over point to 44mm?

Maybe 500+ - i'm still internally gated @370hp!

I ran internally gated on my last car, at around 350bhp as well. That was a 2.0L turbo.

A lot of boost creep blamed on waste gates is actually due to the boost control valve.
The VW ones we used were good up to about 400, but couldn't cope above that, so we now sell the MAC valves.
To be fair we never played around with frequencies to see if we could make them work better, but as the MAC valves are so good and significantly cheaper, it made sense to swap anyway

Sounds logical, my turbo is internal wastegate and rated about 500hp max although I am only at around 310hp but planning an external wastegate manifold for the next engine. I just fitted a MAC valve too so good to know it is most preferred.
