Will the dta only work with the GM content sensor or will it work with any other sensors like aem or motec

Thanks in advance

There are two types, the GM, and the Continental.
The GM works directly, the Continental requires a pull up resistor. 2k should be fine.

Most sellers just resell the continental.

Had the same question.
Just a 2k pullup to 12 or 5V
Could you make a quick dummy drawing on how to wire it in?

There are 3 wires: 12v, signal and ground.
The resistor simply goes across 12v and signal.

Thanks.

Tried to find something off it it in the s-series manual but it ain't in there, Maybe it's something to add?
I think that there are a lot of people interested in the continental sensor since it's way cheaper than the gm unit, better looking & easier place able with the connections in line.

best regards, Coen

Hi
I mounted a Continental sensor today and it seems to work correctly. It shows both ethanol percent and temperature that seems reasonable. But then I saw this thred of coincidence and now I wonder if I should mount a pull up resistor regardless that it seems to work without it. I connected 12V, Signal and ground and I have a S80 unit.
Can I trust it to work or should I mount a pull up resistor?

It's a digital signal, so it it's working, you can leave it.
It shouldn't work without the 12V pull up.
