If you have a separate switch to start the cut, it should work, as long as your voltages there are accurate.
You cannot use that signal to start the shift.

Fine !

I'll start with a push/pull switch.

Thanks Alex

Can I add that you can't use switch to start if you are using the paddle controller, you must use the pot to start.
The trace above looks a bit weird in that the voltage goes down when going up the gears before rising to the next gear. As Alex says you can't use those voltages and I wonder why you are getting them.

"I wonder why you are getting them."

Gear sensor on a H pattern gearbox ;-)

Switch to start, pot to finish will work just fine.

Hi Rob,

On my gearbox there is only one gear selector actuated by two driver selector's mechanisms (one translation and one rotation)

So 1 selector and 6 different positions as on picture.

By adding a potentiometer between a fix point and the selector rod joint as illustrated you are able to read length variation ==> gear position.

The trick is that you need length F to 5 >F4>F3>F2>F1 without crossing the neutral position at wrong time for the DTA closing loop function. It involve some cinematic study and mécanique trick for choosing the good F position... on the paper the curve of the first post ;-)
