Innovate LC-2 Wideband Lambda Sensor Wiring

Post by Farhal_qmfs »

Hi all,

I'm currently in the process of designing a wiring harness for a formula student car with a 2007 Honda cbr600rr engine and I'm a bit confused about the wiring for an Innovate LC-2 Wideband lambda sensor (https://www.dtafast.co.uk/dta_products/innovate-lc-2/). On page 3 of the sensor documentation (https://www.innovatemotorsports.com/wp/ ... Manual.pdf) it states that the red wire should be powered by the 12V system, the black wire should be grounded to a solid ground source, and the remaining two wires can be connected to the analog inputs of other devices such as a programmable ECU, which in my case is the S60Pro.

I'm specifically unsure of the grounding for the sensor - the documentation states that the black wire goes to a solid ground source, but the S60Pro wiring diagram (https://www.dtafast.co.uk/download_file ... iagram.pdf) depicts the lambda sensor connecting to sensor ground (pin 33 of the plug on page 2). Does this mean that the lambda sensor is directly wired to a chassis or engine ground as well as being wired to the sensor ground pin of the ECU? There are also further comments on grounding at the bottom of page 3 and top of page 4 in the sensor documentation.

Any guidance on how to wire this lambda sensor to the S60Pro ECU and to ground would be much appreciated, thanks.
