ok,
so i suppose i should try the one i have here standing on the shelf,
all i have to do is get the wires sorted and find a good spot to fit it on to.
I suppose i have nothing to loose by trying it out.

I might get to it next Wednesday after work.

Thanks for the Rogger Carabott info :)
and the heads up!

He's based in Qormi, or I'm sure he'd be at the drag strip quite often

Hello
We have S60 PRO ECU with custom wiring loom for BMW S54.
We need wasted cop firing order can you guide us for coil wiring connection.
usually 6cyl. engine with wasted cop ignition used the below connection in any ecu.

1&6 to coil 1
2&5 to coil 2
3&4 to coil 3

Is the above information is true?
thank you

It sounds like he's got two cylinders hooked to one coil output which isn't how DTA does waste fire

Wiring as far as firing order goes is correct.

As Jon says, if you're using inductive coils ( ie old style ) you cannot wire like this.

If using coils with built in ignitors, then the above method is fine.

For inductive really you need to install either a 6 channel, or 2 x 3 channel amplifiers to drive the coils.
Then you can drive more than one coil off a single DTA output

The other crappy option is to wire inductive coils in series rather than parallel. I'd avoid that if possible though
