Re: Hayabusa Turbo Kitcar
Definitely a mad looking race car !
Re: Hayabusa Turbo Kitcar
Thanks Stevie. Its never been all one colour so Cant wait to see that
Re: Hayabusa Turbo Kitcar
Car has survived the dyno. Thanks all for the feedback on how to tune fuel on TPS and RPM (boost comp) and the advance on RPM and load.
Pretty happy with 219hp since its the test motor as it had done 65k in the bike already and only 5psi
Planning to shake it down on track this weekend so burning the midnight oil. Wing going on. I'm liking the look of it, alot angry compared to a normal Saker

Re: Hayabusa Turbo Kitcar
Not sure I'd be very happy with 219bhp but it's not far of expectations, the stock motor makes 175bhp and 5psi is about .3bar therefore 1.3bar X 175 bhp = 227bhp. And I think you said you were on E85 as good as methanol.
I think its time to crank the boost up )

Thanks Steve.
They had a Radical 1340 on there a few weeks earlier and its was around 168hp at the wheels. I looked at it and went mine wasnt too bad for an old Gen1 with so many miles on it.
I'm going to wire in a boost controller for not this weekend but the following test day and have a play at 8psi. I do have a fresh motor just want to make sure we have no cooling or oiling issues before we drop it in a adjust the tuning

Ah, at the wheels, that makes it sound better.
Re: Hayabusa Turbo Kitcar
Finally hit the track.
Few bugs to sort.
The Porsche cv's need wirelocking
Flatshifter needs some work.
Doors need some stiffening as air was getting under it at speed (easy carbon fix)
Still not 100% with mapping but data looked ok.
