Hi Martin, I have an E48, I have been onto a local guy to map the car when I have it sorted.
Will the usb lead with flash switch make it easier for him to map?

I would hope that the local guy would already have one as a bare minimum and hopefully a dyno knobs box if he says he can map it. He would only need one if he hasn't mapped DTA stuff before. Really the comms lead is for making basic map and settings changes and re-flashing the newer S series ecu's as the E48 can only have newer firmware installed by DTA inserting a newer Eprom chip inside it. Any reputable mapper will have a "dyno knobs box"

Even though I have an E48, I ordered the cable with the re-flash switch, it may come in handy if I ever get a newer ecu.
