does the fuel pump prime as soon as the ignition is switched on or is there a delay/or user configurable delay?
reason being is I have a lift pump and swirl pot which then gravity feeds the high pressure pump so would like the lift pump to run for a few seconds to make sure the swirl pots is full and has the best pressure head to supply the high pressure pump.

Re: fuel pump priming
There is no provision for a delay, and yes it does prime on key on
Once the swirl pot is full, it shouldnt really empty, so the only time you may need the lift pump to run first is the first build from dry.
SO you could power up the lift pump first manually to fill the swirl.
whether from another power source, fuse or relay etc etc.

Re: fuel pump priming
Yeah - the pressure efi pump circuit will always be primed unless you run out of fuel. Well built systems will even have residual pressure over the injectors! The EFI pump doesn't need head of pressure - its pickup just needs to be submerged at all times!
Re: fuel pump priming
Thanks, just want I need to know, I will build in a override for the lift pump in that case
