Wideband questions

Post by Sambo18 »

I'm currently using a dta s40 and have been told that I can use a wideband kit to auto map it 90% and then have it fine tuned once run in, does anyone know what wideband is compatible with the dta s40?

Any wideband with a 0-5v output can be used.

And dont get your hopes up on any "auto map" feature.

Yes there is an ability for closed loop fuel correction, and there are features in the software that assist you with mapping.

But it will never auto-map for someone who has no clue what they're doing. It still requires some input from a tuner....a lot actually.

Closed loop when not set up correctly, can just as easily be a hindrance to tuning, even more so when not competent.

Some systems work better than others, and the better ones usually control the wideband sensor directly, not with external controllers, as that in itself is another variable.
