C20xe won´t start with VR crank - S60

DTA has no user adjustment for the VR signal....which means there is room for improvement there.
Did you get a proper scope trace for the actual VR signal ?

My experience about C20XE OEM crank triggering is that it is very reliable with all DTA versions. I've never needed any resistor tricks or anything. But of course it is possible that there is wiring error or similar somewhere in the system.

I would start from minimum viable solution, so wasted spark coil and preliminary mapping of the engine with it. Then trying to install cam triggering and COP coils if needed.

Many times people do way too complicated initial setup and die fighting against complex errors.
